I learned from Bill that the answers you get are only as good as the questions you ask.
Unique Gift for Honor Others
Bill has a unique gift for honoring others, always so generously sharing his experience, lessons, love, light and time to build us up & hold us to a higher standard.
The friend who made you want to be better.
I miss him. but when I think about him, I can still hear the enthusiasm, feel the energy and see the enormous smile.
And it puts one right back on my face.
Sweatbands and a post game pic
For a kid to have that kind of proactive attention from an NBA star was special...I still remember all of it! Thank you Bill!
Thank you Bill!
The first thing I told you was THANK YOU for everything you did to get the South Mission Beach volleyball courts permitted.
Bill’s Impact on the Y
Bill was an unpaid spokesperson, an unwavering advocate, and, most importantly, a raving fan who never held back his appreciation for the Y’s mission. Time and again, he’d say, “The Y saved my life.”
A One of Kind
Bill loved his hometown of San Diego. Many times he would say, “If the Pilgrims would have landed in San Diego the east coast of the U.S. would still be a wilderness today”.
Remember me?
My Bill Walton story starts with the word "Eidetic."
Bill and I were hosting a panel for 16 visitors from Seattle at the San Diego Challenged Athletes Foundation. Seated at tables, facing us, he said,
Slam Dunk judge, email flub, 30 games 30 night tour 2002
When Bill went on the road tour love it or leave it, 2002, 30 nights in 30 dates, the NBA designed a tye dyed t- shirt.
