A legacy of greatness
Bill Walton was so much more than the greatest passing center in basketball history. He was a Southern California original, laid-back yet larger-than-life. A six-devoted fan of the Grateful Dead known as the “World’s Tallest Deadhead.” A free spirit and local you could see riding his bike around North County, starting the wave at SDSU Aztecs games, and waxing philosophically on national TV.
His love for the game thrilled us. His passion continues to inspire us. November 7, 2026 at Pechanga Arena, his legacy will give rise to new stars in his hometown where it all began.
