Unique Gift for Honor Others
Bill has a unique gift of honoring others, always so generously sharing his experience, lessons, love, light and time to build us all up and hold us to a higher standard. Like many people that made its way to me. I worked with Bill at SDSI since 2010, moving across the county in my early 20s from my home in NY – a young women entering the work world. Several months into our work together, Bill personally called my parents, to let them know how I was doing. Imagine being a parent and getting a personal message from Bill Walton, from all the way across the country, just to let you know your daughter is doing just fine and is an “Angle”?! Several years later as I was heading out for maternity leave for my first child, Bill gave me a handwritten very personal note about the importance of motherhood and the journey and obligations I was about to embark upon. What an unexpected and impactful gesture. I keep his note in my daughter’s baby book.
